Challenge
Southern California Edison has an interesting problem. Due to California regulation of energy, they need to sell their consumers LESS of their product during the hot summer months in order to avoid costly overages. How can they make a difference with their marketing dollars?
Solution
Rather than spending marketing dollars to get people to go somewhere, we built useful facts and tips into the marketing itself. To reach them in the home we developed a direct mail card system that could be leveraged by families to make reducing energy usage a fun conversation. We envisioned attaching this system to an online experience that would allow consumers to visualize the difference they were making.
